The cvEpi Journal
Club is a forum for the review and discussion of current issues
in cardiovascular epidemiology. This Club will meet in a virtual
rather than a physical room and will offer two discussion alternatives:
Current Reviews and Current Debate.
Current
Reviews will work in much the same manner as the traditional
Journal Club. An invited reviewer will be identified and a discussion
will allow participants to ask questions, offer comments, criticisms
and suggestions for further research.
Current
Debates will allow visitors to follow the debate as two invited
specialists assume different rhetorical positions on controversial
issues.
You are invited to submit a subject for review. To participate you may:
- Submit a topic or recent article for review or debate by sending
an email to the Journal Club Editorial
Office.
- Volunteer to review an article or participate in a debate
by sending an email to the Editorial
Office. Check out the Studies Awaiting Review for ideas.
Cardiovascular
epidemiology trainees are especially encouraged to participate,
and NRSA Cardiovascular Epidemiology Training Programs are invited
to submit three reviews per
year.
Journal Club
Editorial Office responsibilities will be shared among the various
NRSA CVD Epidemiology Training Programs.
